The meaning of the word "Riyadh"
The word "Riyadh" is the plural of the word "Rawdah", and the meaning of the word "Riyadh" is gardens and green lands where plants thrive and water gathers.
The establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was announced, and its capital was chosen in 1954 AD. It was called "Hajar Al-Yamamah" for over 1400 years.
Location and Terrain

The official clothing for men is the 'thobe', red 'Shemagh', and black 'Egal'.
The 'thobe' is a piece of fabric worn by men that covers the entire body from the neck to the feet, usually white in color. In the summer and winter, the thobe is worn in various other colors.
The shemagh is a piece of fabric in red color with a little bit of white, worn on the head, and the black agal is placed on top of the 'shemagh'.
The official dress for women is black 'Abaya' and 'Hijab'. The hijab is a piece of fabric used to cover the hair, and the Abaya is worn by women over their clothes, usually in black color.
