Riyadh Season
The launch of Riyadh Season in 2019, sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority, is considered the real turning point for the city of Riyadh, transforming it from a historical center with limited tourism to an entertainment hub and one of the most beautiful tourist destinations.Riyadh Season is one of the world's largest wonderland event. The festivities capture the essence of Saudi from it's heritage its present-day dynamism.In recent years, there has been significant development in technology, digital transformation, culture, sports, investment, giant projects, systems, education, tourism, entertainment and etc… all according to the latest international standards. Each of these topics deserves detailed elaboration.
First Slogan
The 1st Edition Of Riyadh Season
On October 11, 2019, under the slogan "Imagine," Riyadh Season was launched marking an unprecedented openness to the world and welcoming visitors from all over the world for entertainment and tourism.
Originally planned to last for 70 days, the season extended until March 31, 2020, due to the overwhelming demand, indicating it being overly successful.
Over 7 million visitors from all around the World attended the 100+ events. Activities and events were distributed across 12 locations throughout the city, including the creation of Winter WONDERLAND the amusement park themed in winter.
The activities and events included concerts, music performances, fashion shows, circus performances, visual illusions, the opening of several shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
After the first edition ended, the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, which forced the entire world to practice social distancing, leading to the cancellation and postponement of the season of 2022.
It is worth mentioning the stance of the Saudi Arabian government in combating the pandemic, which deserves appreciation.
Second Slogan
The 2nd Edition Of Riyadh Season
On October 20 2021, under the slogan "Imagine More," the second edition was launched at Boulevard City with a concert by the international artist Pitbull, a massive cosplay parade, and the launch of numerous fireworks that illuminated the skies of Riyadh. Over 2700 drones were flown, and it was attended by the wrestler Undertaker and many international personalities. The number of visitors on the opening day exceeded 750,000.
This edition of Riyadh Season was distinguished by the opening of Boulevard City, with an area of 300,000 square meters, which serves as a venue for entertainment activities. It features large screens with colorful lights that delight visitors, as well as a large lake and a dancing fountain to the rhythm of music. It also includes sales centers for international brands, numerous luxury restaurants and cafes, a cinema, theaters, games, and various activities. The area is filled with beautiful scenery and its size has tripled to reach 900,000 square meters.
In this edition, 6 international concerts and 70 Arabic concerts were presented, as well as 6 international plays and over 350 Arabic theatrical performances. There were also 10 international exhibitions and 9 international studios. The season included a free wrestling championship, two international football matches, and over 7,500 events. The number of visitors is estimated to have been over 10 million, and the events continued until the end of March 2022.
Third Slogan
The 3rd Edition Of Riyadh Season
Began on October 21, 2022, under the slogan "Beyond Imagination ". This edition was distinguished by the opening of Boulevard World, a beautiful tourist area that brings together ten countries in one place.
These countries are the United States, China, Japan, Morocco, Greece, Italy, France, India, Spain, and Mexico. It includes the largest artificial lake in the world, as well as various entertainment games, restaurants, and cafes. There is also a cable car that transports visitors to Boulevard City.
The season included more than 8,500 events, including a football match between Paris Saint-Germain and the Riyadh Season team, which brought together players from the derby clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr. Messi with Paris faced Ronaldo, and the match ended with Paris Saint-Germain winning 5 goals to 4.
Fourth Slogan
The 4th Edition Of Riyadh Season
On October 28 2023, under the slogan ''Big Time" the fourth edition was launched at Boulevard world.
The fourth edition of Riyadh Season was launched under the slogan "Big Time" on October 28, 2023. Now we can say that Riyadh is truly a global entertainment and tourist destination due to Riyadh Season's clear efforts in creating and diversifying amazing and eye-catching places and events that attract the whole world.
The season kicked off with a historic boxing match between the fiercest traveler of knowledge, Tyson Fury, and Francis Ngannou. The opening ceremony was attended by many international stars.
In this season, there are many events that are difficult to mention in this article, but we will highlight some of them, such as; The concert of the international singer Post Malone.
The Riyadh Season Cup for men featuring Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, and for women featuring Aryna Sabalenka and Anas Jaber.
There is also the Disney Castle Land with interactive shows inspired by Disney movies and music concerts.
You can enjoy coffee with cats at the Cats and Cups Café, which has more than 50 rare cats.
The Riyadh Season Football Championship will take place between Inter Miami Club and the Saudi Derby between Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr.
The opening of Wonder Garden on November 2 2023, a theme park for adults and children filled with thrilling rides divided into three areas where you can see talking trees and flamingos dancing on the lake, and many more exciting experiences.
A new area called Boulevard Hall was created in just 60 days. It is a stadium that can accommodate more than 40,000 visitors to watch the season's events.
After 50 days of the season, more than 10 million visitors attended, and from the slogan, we expect this to be the longest edition, lasting nearly half a year. And 60 days into the season it has reached to the number of over 12 million visitors attended in total.

Riyadh Season & Roma Club
Finally
Recently, the General Entertainment Authority announced the start of the construction of Boulevard "Runway" in collaboration with Saudi Arabian Airlines, where the area will include several aircrafts and its visitors will have new experiences.
The Riyadh Season has truly made the city of Riyadh an attractive entertainment center for the world, with its diverse recreational, sports, and cultural events, as well as modern and advanced venues for a fun time that attracts visitors from all over the world.
